Reason No. 1,450,368 The Alamo Drafthouse Kicks Ass

Because they would never encourage this kind of crap during a regular screening (maybe during a sing-along, but never a regular screening):

Coincidentally, AMC Entertainment and the Autism Society of America are testing a monthly pilot program in which movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down. Additionally, audience members are welcome to "get up and dance, walk, shout or sing." The first event is this Saturday, Aug. 23, at 10am at AMC Barton Creek 14. Tickets are $4 for a showing of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Why exactly would I want to pay to go to a movie theater to watch some jackass "get up and dance, walk, shout or sing" in the middle of the movie? I don't think so, Tim. And aren't sitting in pitch black darkness and having an awesome sound system bursting your ear drums two of the best parts of going to a movie theater anyway?
